March 20, 2026 – The Cab continue their triumphant return with their brand new single “Back From The Dead”. The song is out now and streaming here, in addition to a brand new visualizer here. An earworm boasting pop-laden hooks, the new track juxtaposes the band’s rock-heavy previous release “Locked and Loaded”. Both songs can be found on The Cab’s highly anticipated new full length album, Chasing Crowns, out on April 24th. Pre-save the album now here.
Front man Alex DeLeon shares: “This was the last song written for the record. We had a lot of music we loved but nothing that really felt Iike the Anthem to kick the door open to. This song was the last song written for the album and as soon as we wrote it we knew the album was done. ‘Pulled that bullet out of my head’ was a metaphor for saying… you know what… I am going to do something about all of the things that killed me and held me down before.” It’s really a song about redemption. This was really a statement to the scene saying this is our renaissance and rebirth!”
The Cab will be performing across the U.S. this spring on The Back From The Dead Tour, set to kick off on May 22nd. The tour is set to make stops in Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Nashville, Boston, and more, including a newly added second date in New York City following a sold out first night. Tickets, including VIP packages and the option to add a vinyl copy of the new album, are available now. For more information, please visit: https://thecabband.com/
About The Cab: The Cab is a Las Vegas-born pop-rock band known for their anthemic songwriting, arena-ready hooks, and collaborations with some of the biggest names in alternative music. Formed by lead vocalist Alex DeLeon while still in high school, the band quickly rose to prominence in the late 2000s with their debut album Whisper War (2008), which featured production from Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and contributions from Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco.
More than a decade since releasing a full-length album, The Cab return with Chasing Crowns, marking a significant new chapter for the band. Written over the past ten years, the album captures the band’s evolution and draws from the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi — the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, where cracks are illuminated as part of the story.
The release arrives nearly 15 years after their sophomore album Symphony Soldier (2011), which debuted in the Top 100 on the Billboard 200 and solidified the band’s place in the pop-rock and alternative scene with standout tracks including “Angel with a Shotgun,” “Endlessly,” and “Bad.” Since its release, “Angel with a Shotgun” has amassed over 260 million streams and experienced a major resurgence across short-form platforms, introducing the band to a new generation of listeners.
Over the years, The Cab’s catalog has continued to grow, generating over 90 million streams in 2025 alone, alongside tens of millions of short-form video views, reinforcing the band’s enduring global reach. The band’s return to the stage has also been met with overwhelming demand, including sold-out shows across Southeast Asia within 24 hours and high-profile performances at Red Rocks and Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival. Now composed of Alex DeLeon (vocals), Alex Marshall (guitar, keys), Dave Briggs (drums), Joey Thunder (bass), and Chantry Johnson (guitar), The Cab return to the road with the “Back From the Dead” Tour, their first headline run in over ten years, celebrating the release of Chasing Crowns and the next chapter of a band that continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. |
